CHICAGO, IL -- A 61-year-old man died Wednesday morning following a rollover crash in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood that left another man injured, according to FOX 32 Chicago.
Chicago Police said the accident occurred on Loomis Boulevard at 52nd Street, near the northwest corner of Sherman Park.
A preliminary investigation found that the man was driving a minivan southbound on Loomis Boulevard when, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle collided with a parked car. Authorities said the impact of the crash caused the van to flip.
First responders rushed the male driver to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. His passenger, a 59-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
No further information has been made available at this time, as an investigation remains in progress.
