CHICAGO, IL -- A Chicago Fire Department truck crashed into a home on the city's South Side Monday night, leaving two residents displaced, according to Chicago Tribune.
The incident impacted a residence on the 7700 block of South Damen Avenue, in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, just before 10:00 p.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the accident, but a CFD firetruck was heading southbound on the road when it appeared to lose control before running off the roadway and colliding with the front of the house.
Though no one was reported injured in the event, the home's two residents were forced to seek alternative housing, indicating significant, possibly structural, damage.
Detectives with the Chicago Police Department are handling the case.
