CHICAGO, IL -- Three people were injured, two critically, due to a wrong-way collision early Tuesday in Chicago's Douglas neighborhood, according to CBS News Chicago.
The two-vehicle crash happened on the northbound side of DuSable Lake Shore Drive, near East 31st Street, at about 12:40 a.m.
Chicago Police said a Honda sedan was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with an oncoming Ford Expedition.
First responders rushed the driver and a passenger of the Honda to University of Chicago Medical Hospital, where both patients were listed in critical condition.
The driver of the Ford was transported in fair condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
No further details have been made available at this time, as an investigation by the Major Accidents Investigation Unit remains in progress.
