CHICAGO, IL -- A vehicle struck a pole and flipped onto its roof Tuesday night on Chicago's South Side, leaving three people seriously injured, reports WGN-TV.
The accident was reported at the intersection of East 75th Street and South Exchange Avenue, in the South Shore neighborhood. Authorities were dispatched to the scene shortly after 10:50 p.m.
While the cause of the wreck has not been publicly disclosed, Chicago Fire Department (CFD) officials said a vehicle collided with a pole and came to rest with its wheels up.
The vehicle's three occupants, a 23-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old man, all suffered serious injuries. All three patients were transported to a local hospital where they were listed in stable condition.
No other details have been shared as an investigation remains in progress. No charges have been reported at this time.
