CHICAGO, IL - Four women were left in critical condition after their vehicle collided with a semi truck on the South Side early this morning.
WGN reports that the crash happened in the 7900 block of South Pulaski Road at about 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7. Police believe the driver of the passenger vehicle was speeding north when she ran a red light and hit a semi.
Emergency responders transported three of the women to Advocate Christ Medical Center and a fourth to Mount Sinai Hospital. All were listed in critical condition and had to be extricated from their vehicle by the Chicago Fire Department.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
