CHICAGO, IL -- A crash involving a CFD firetruck Monday morning on Chicago's South Side left three people, including two children, seriously injured, according to WGN-TV.
The collision was reported in the area of West 71st Street and South Wentworth Avenue, a few blocks west of the Interstate 94 ramps. Authorities were dispatched to the scene at about 9:00 a.m.
While the circumstances of the crash have not been disclosed, footage taken at the scene indicates a Chicago Fire Department firetruck and a passenger vehicle had collided.
First responders rushed two children and an adult to a local hospital where the patients were listed in serious condition.
No injuries to any firefighters were reported.
An investigation was underway.
