WILL COUNTY, IL -- A 28-year-old man was injured early Thursday when he was struck by a falling piece of concrete while working at a construction site in Joliet, reports FOX 32 Chicago.
The incident occurred on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 near Exit 133 to Richards Street, at about 1:25 a.m.
No details regarding the circumstances of the event have been shared, but Illinois State Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital for injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Authorities have not released further information or indicated any pending charges at this time.
